American Public Health Association

The Lasker Awards were given through the American Public Health Association from 1946 through 1960. The collection includes correspondence, nominee files, legal papers, minutes, jury materals, guest lists, clippings, printed material, and files relating to award winners. It documents the selection process, public relations, and presentation of the Albert Lasker Awards. Four-year accumulations of records are added periodically.

Correspondence, memoranda, clippings, drafts, reprints, and miscellaneous public health data. Includes material on: Arkansas-Mississippi flood (1927), "A national plan for health services" (1934), "Greater Boston community survey" (1949), and "A five year plan ... in Connecticut" (1964). Also contains health data relating to other countries, especially China. Includes notes and printed matter pertaining to W. Frank Walker.

Contains primarily speeches and articles by Dr. Cornely concentrating on public health activities in 1960s and 1970s, portraits, some material on APHA, Howard University, and University of Michigan, and some correspondence.
