National Hansen's Disease Center

Planning materials, final reports and recommendations related to an internal study of the government's role in the treatment and research of Hansen's Disease and the ongoing mission of the National Hansen's Disease Center facility at Carville, La. and its role in the Public Health Service.

An artificial collection of printed ephemeral material created by the Center and several reprints and printed material created by others. Materials created by the Center include hospital/patient brochures and guidebooks, hadnouts about Hansen's disease termionology, a brief history of the complex, and an aerial view of the complex postcard. The reprints by others are primarily journal articles about Hansen's disease, therapies, and treatments.
