This series provides information about the various conferences, workshops, meetings, dinners, award ceremonies, and other professional events Kantrowitz attended or was invited to over a thirty-year period. These are regional, national, and international events devoted to topics from cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, and medical and biological engineering. One folder of note covers an exchange of surgical apparatus and information that followed Kantrowitz's visit to the USSR in the late 1950s. Materials types found in Series 12 include programs, correspondence, travel kits, manuscripts, drafts, membership applications, printed matter, name tags, and expense reports. The files are arranged chronologically by event date. Folders with lists of multiple events are filed at the beginning of the year the first event takes place (e.g. the folder "National meetings (July 1, 1970 to December 31, 1971)" is filed at the beginning of 1970).
