Series 4: Subject Files, 1951-1984 (bulk 1963-1984)

This series contains correspondence, notes, reports, and publications documenting internal and external issues concerning the Library filed by subject. Topics include technology, library administration, congressional legislation, government agencies, and medical libraries. Also included are four files concerning copyright which relate to the Williams & Wilkins Co. v. The United States case. All other files from Cummings' office concerning this matter were filed with both Scott Adams' and the Reference Service Division's files and later were arranged into MS C 421 Williams & Wilkins Co. v. The United States Records. The sub-series is arranged alphabetically.
