Special Joint Committee on Libraries in International Education, 1968

This series contains correspondence, notes, agendas, and reports from committees that Cummings served on from 1964-1978. The various committees dealt with issues such a technology, international education, and library policy. The bulk of the sub-series includes his records of the National Institutes of Health's Advisory Committee of the Director and Policy Advisory Committee. Of special interest is the sub-sub-series Committee on Science and Technology Information which developed descriptive standards for scientific publications during the 1960s. Cummings was an active member of the committee from 1964 to 1971. The sub-series is arranged alphabetically.
