 File — Box: 10, Folder: 10

Scope and Contents

From the Series:

This series consists of materials related to Rodbell's affiliation with various professional and scientific organizations. Divided into two subseries, the first part, arranged alphabetically, consists of Rodbell's correspondence with professional organizations, special programs, research projects, and universities. As an active scholar and scientist Rodbell was elected to many professional organizations, and this subseries contains correspondence files on the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences. These files also contain printed matter with some correspondence related to organizations (e.g. The Institute for Genomic Research) and projects (e.g. Manzanar) with which MR was involved. Within this first subseries there are also some files (with very little information) on Rodbell's adjunct professorships. The second subseries highlights Rodbell's membership as an editorial board member for several scholarly scientific journals including Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and Metabolism. Files in this subseries consist of Rodbell's peer reviews, but are restricted because of their sensitive nature. These materials reflect Rodbell's professional activities and memberships outside the NIH.
