The largest series in the collection reflects Dr. Terry's continuing efforts to promote public health through education about the hazards of smoking. The series is divided into three distinct subseries: general files, files relating to particular organizations, and information relating to federal, state and local government. Well represented among the organizations are Action on Smoking and Health, American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, National Interagency Council on Smoking and Health, Non-Smokers' Rights Association, and the World Health Organization.
