Scope and Contents

This series is devoted to individual speeches given and conferences Terry attended. Speeches are arranged chronologically by year, then by specific date, if known. Speeches are well represented for 1961-1967, which includes Terry's entire term as Surgeon General. Files covering the period afterward concentrate on conferences and meetings he attended, which sometimes included speaking engagements. Interspersed among Terry's own addresses are statements and speeches by Anthony J. Celebrezze, Ralph S. Lloyd, Murray A. Diamond, Edward W. Dempsey, David E. Price, and Joseph T. English. (All speeches by Luther Terry except those noted)
