This series contains meeting minutes, reports, assessments, guidelines, proposals, and correspondence. Hinman served as president from approximately 1977 to 1979, as chairman of the 33rd Annual Conference on Engineering and Biology, and as a council member of this organization from approximately 1976 to 1986.
The mission of the Alliance is to promote the enlightened use of advanced technology in research in the life sciences and in clinical practices, all aimed at solving human problems. These goals are achieved through service and education, and through the Alliance's role as a catalyst for 24 constituent societies.
