Series 11: Internship Committee

In 1966 the Internship Committee gained committee status after acting as a subcommittee of the Standards Committee in 1948. In 1973 the Internship Committee ceased operation. The Curriculum Committee acquired the approval function and the Director of Medical Library Education took on the advisory and information functions. Material on internship programs was organized by school around 1962. This arrangement has been maintained. Internship reports... and correspondence regarding individual programs before 1963 are located in the general correspondence files. The records of the Ad hoc Committee on Internships chaired by Estelle Brodman are included with this series.
