The Board of Trustees has served as the senior executive body within the College since its incorporation in 1949. For this reason, the minutes of its meetings are perhaps the best and most consistent source of information on the College's general history. While much duplication of material exists between the bound and unbound minutes, often one group will contain attachments that the other does not. In general, however, the bound set contains more attachments than the unbound, especially for the early years of the College (1949 to ca. 1965). From 1965 on, the unbound are usually more comprehensive.

Other noteworthy items may be found as attachments to the Board's minutes, such as the minutes and reports of the Board of Governors. The Board of Governors is another long standing senior executive body within the College, but one for which no separate group of minutes has been located. Verbatim Reports are the transcripts of the Board of Trustee meetings taken by private stenographers or court reporters hired by the College. The collection is fairly comprehensive and, as with the Board's minutes noted above, are organized both chronologically and numerically.
