Series 5: Awards, 1976-1988

This series documents awards granted by the ABA for distinguished service and to encourage travel and research in the United States and abroad. Among those awards are the Curtis P. Artz Distinguished Service Award presented to a non-physician member of the ABA for outstanding contributions in the burn field; the Everett Idris Evans Memorial Lecture awarded to a non-United States scientist for meritorious service; the Harvey Stuart Allen award given... to a United States scientist for outstanding contributions to the field; the Carl A. Moyer award granted for outstanding contributions to the field by a surgical resident or medical student; the traveling fellowship award given to a physician or post-doctoral fellow who has shown continuing interest and productivity in the field of burn care, teaching, and/or research; and the President's Continuing Education Grant given to a non-physician ABA member who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of care for burn patients. Material includes correspondence documenting the nomination procedure and award arrangements, letters of award and acceptance, and addresses given by award recipients. The records are arranged alphabetically by name of award, and chronologically within each award group.
