The first subseries consists of Axelrod's correspondence and materials related to various organizations, programs, and universities. The second subseries relates to conferences and lectures in which Axelrod participated; some oversize posters are included in this subseries. The third subseries includes Axelrod's professional correspondence, while the final subseries contains peer reviews and recommendations.
