Scope and Contents

Media Coverage series materials include newspaper clippings and magazine articles which report on DeVries's major activities during the 1980s, notable developments in artificial organ implantation and organ transplantation, and federal and public reactions to the experimental procedures being performed during this time period. A majority of the acidic newspaper clippings were photocopied onto acid free paper; the original were discarded and the photocopies were retained. Folders are arranged chronologically by date range.
