Description
In this brief article, Freis, et al, detailed their use of a "physiologic monitor" (somewhat similar to a sphygmomanometer) that provided continuous quantitative recordings of heart rate and blood pressure in patients. They argued that the device, until then only used in surgical situations, could be utilized for use with ward patients.
