Description

The second of three publications describing the results of the Veterans Administration Cooperative Study on Antihypertensive Agents. This is the work for which Freis received the Lasker Award. This report presented the results of the double-blind controlled trial for treatment of patients with mild or moderate hypertension, finding that drug treatment dramatically reduced the number of hypertensive complications.
