Description
In this interview Koop reflected on his most sustained campaign as U.S. Surgeon General, his campaign against smoking, and particularly his emphasis on the health costs of smoking to non-smokers. He also warned against the dangers of using smokeless tobacco. Koop praised efforts by local jurisdictions to ban smoking in public places and facilities as well as the sale of cigarettes to minors through vending machines.
