Contains material used in the preparation of Austin's bibliography of early American imprints, published in 1961. The material has been preserved to illustrate how book catalogs were prepared ca. 1960. Includes examples of the various steps in the production of the catalog entries from "A" through "Answer." Microfilm copies of all cards as they were sent to the printer are also included. Most of the collection materials were discarded.
