George Milbry Gould Papers

The collection consists of seven document cases and one volume. The bulk of the collection consists of notes, correspondence and biographical and autographical fragments assembled by Mrs. Gould for a projected biography of her husband (Series 3). Some of Gould's correspondence with his aunts and some correspondence with his colleagues on his ministerial and medical careers is also in the collection. Scrapbooks include printed matter relating to eyestrain, Gould's medical dictionaries, and public health examinations. Also contains volume of "abridged record of ophthalmic cases" (1888-92) with note: Collector, W. W. Rowan. A record of some of Gould's ophthalmologic cases completes the collection.
