This film shows a prepared, conscious, cooperative labor and delivery with emphasis on the support of the husband and reactions of the mother to labor and delivery. The husband is present and supportive during delivery. The film also includes instructional sequences explaining cervical dilation and effacement, false vs. true labor, relaxation techniques, exercises to prepare for labor,... and breathing patterns to use during labor. It stresses the strengthening of family ties (including an older child) through sharing the childbearing experience.
