Some correspondence documents New Orleans Board of Health and Street Commissioner's Department sanitation and fumigation activities against cholera in June and July 1867. Narrative and statistical reports review the status of yellow fever in several areas of the 5th Military District beyond New Orleans, notably Galveston, Austin, Brownsville, Victoria, and Ringgold Barracks, Texas. Correspondents include J.W. Barnes and J.J. Woodward.
