Description

This study by the Veterans Administration Cooperative Study Group on Antihypertensive Agents was another contribution to the controversy regarding the possible dangers of treating hypertension with diuretics. The group argued that other hypertension drugs may also elevate blood sugar, and that, rather than ceasing the use of diuretics, physicians should instead closely monitor dose levels.
