Letter from Irvine H. Page to Edward D. Freis

Freis retired from full time duties at Georgetown School of Medicine and the Veterans Administration Hospital in 1987, though he continued research and writing for many years after. Page's letter reflects on Freis's character, career, and accomplishments. Page was also a trailblazing hypertension researcher, and played a key role in the establishment of the Institute of Medicine at the National Academy of Sciences.
