Description
Determining cardiac output was a critical component for the treatment of hypertension. In this article, Freis and Daddario evaluated two relatively new aids in this endeavor, the kinetocardiogram, a graphic record of the vibrations of the chest wall produced by cardiac activity, and the phonocardiogram, a graphic record of heart sounds and murmurs.
