Description
Gorman argued that federal mental health legislation and state planning were only the beginning of better mental health care. Those concerned about mental illness would also have to pressure insurance companies to cover mental health services, and to convince fellow taxpayers that care and treatment of mental illness was a right and proper use of tax money. This speech was delivered at the First Legislative Conference of the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health.
