Historical Note

In 1934 the Board of Supervisors of City Charities of Baltimore established a permanent board to organize the services of Baltimore City Hospitals and coordinate its relations with students of Johns Hopkins University and the School of Medicine of the University of Maryland. The Medical Advisory Board's mandate was to make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors concerning matters of policy and professional staff appointments.

Collection Summary

Contains monthly statistical reports (1954-62), and staff conference and medical advisory board minutes. Signature of Frederic G. Hubbard appears on reports and minutes. Hubbard was director of Baltimore City Hospitals.
