Biographical Note

Richard Dyer Mudd, 1901-2002, was born in 1901 in Washington, D.C. He completed his Bachelor's (1921) and Masters (1922) degrees at Georgetown University and then enrolled in medical school, also at Georgetown. After an internship at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Mudd embarked on a career in industrial medicine.
