Biographical/Historical Note

Aurora Karrer Reich, born in 1924, met Wilhelm Reich while attending a conference at the Orgone Institute during the summer of 1955. Later that year she entered into a common-law marriage with Dr. Reich and subsequently gave up her position as a medical technician at the National Institutes of Health. Intentions to formalize their union remained unfulfilled upon Dr. Reich's death in November, 1957.

Collection of Reich-related papers, mostly created by Aurora Karrer or related to Reich's term of imprisonment. Contains correspondence between Aurora Karrer Reich and relatives, legal representatives, and Wilhelm Reich's family members and acolytes; notes by Mrs. Reich about her life with Dr. Reich; printed copies of court briefs and statements; books written by Dr. Reich and serial publications produced by the Orgone Institute.
