Biographical Note
A native of Chambersburg, Pa., Richard Meyer Reynolds, 1842-1911, attended Philadelphia's Eclectic Medical College (Philadelphia College of Medicine and Surgery). After graduating in 1861, Reynolds served as an assistant surgeon in the Civil War with the 50th New York Engineers and Anderson Troop, Pennsylvania. Reynolds spent the next 10 years after the war as an Assistant Surgeon in the U. S. Army Medical Corps, stationed in 1875-1876 in the Wyoming Territory.
