Historical Note

The Navy's Hospital Corps School system educated enlisted personnel for duty in the Hospital Corps Branch. The San Diego school was one of four basic hospital schools maintained at naval bases in the United States.

As such they provide information concerning what was taught to medical corpsmen during the Korean War.
