Collection Summary

Collection contains three separate interviews of Dr. Engel: interviewers are Sanford Meyerowitz (Jan. 1974; Leaders in American Medicine Series); James W. Bartlett (Jan. 7, 1983); Manfred Waserman (May 23-24, 1985). The Meyerowitz interview is a transcription of a filmed interview. Some printed matter relating to Dr. Engel and Dr. Libman is included with the collection. Engel was a nephew of Dr. Emanuel Libman, who is discussed in the Wasserman interview.
