Biographical / Historical

Peirre Lortet was a physician from Lyon during the 1840s-1850s. He was a member of the Linnean Society and lectured at the Academie des Sciences et Bellesletres et Arts in Lyon in 1853. Clemence, his mother, was an accomplished botanist.
