Letters are primarily addressed to Gilles de la Tourette. Draft has title "Preface et avant propos" and appears in Gilles de la Tourette's "Traiteì clinique et theìrapeutique de l'hysteìrie," published in Paris in 1891.

Contains correspondence, diaries, printed matter, clippings, orders, printed ephemera, and patient record books and transfer cards, all relating to Base Hospital No. 4 (Lakeside Unit, Cleveland, Ohio and Rouen, France) during World War I.

Nine letters of geographic observations made of rainfall and temperature, mainly along the Rhone basin. The results probably published in his "Documents pour servis a la Geographie physique du Basin du Rhone." Also includes engraving of his mother, Clemence; first page of his address "De la Foi dans la Science" (1853); one page of bibliographic information.
