Biographical Note

Frederick L. Hoffman was third vice president and statistician for the Prudential Insurance Company of America. Hoffman wrote on a variety of health topics. His works include Cancer statistics of life insurance companies (1913), American public-health problems (1915), Army anthropometry and medical rejection statistics (1918), Industrial accidents in the United States and their relative frequency in different occupations (1918), Facts and fallacies of compulsory health insurance (1920), Malaria problems (1928), Suicide problems (1928), and Cancer and diet, with facts and observation on related subjects (1937).
