The 1946 Hospital Survey and Construction Act, known informally as the Hill–Burton Act, provided construction grants and loans to communities who demonstrated need for building additional healthcare facilities based on population and income. Collection includes reports, data, printed materials, and audiovisual materials that document the application of the Hill-Burton Act by the Public Health Service.
