Series 10: Writings, 1944-2002 (Bulk 1963-1979)
Scope and Contents
The Writings series contains published and draft material authored and co-authored by Kantrowitz, with co-authored items making up the majority. Among the subjects covered are: peripheral arterial blood flow, urinary bladder stimulation, heart transplantation, the implantable cardiac pacemaker, a percutaneous energy transmission system, and various forms of the mechanical auxiliary ventricle. Writings is arranged in two sub-series: Journal Articles and Draft Material. The first sub-series includes a numbered bibliography of selected Kantrowitz writings, which are in rough chronological order. All of the published journal articles, reprints, and reports from this bibliography are arranged by their bibliography number. The second sub-series consists of miscellaneous rough drafts and illustrations from published works; it is arranged alphabetically by folder title.
