Luther L. Terry Papers
Luther Terry was U.S. Surgeon General from 1961-1965. The collection primarily documents his professional activities and most notably contains all the speeches he gave while Surgeon General. The largest single portion of the collection documents the numerous organizations and government agencies in which Terry was either a member or advisor on the issue of anti-smoking.

Margaret Pittman Papers
Pittman worked at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), first as a bacteriologist and later as the first female lab Chief of an NIH laboratory, the Laboratory of Bacteriological Products within the Division of Biologics Standards (1958-1971). Pittman is perhaps most noted for her contributions to understanding the whooping cough.
