The Recruitment Committee was a subcommittee of the Standards Committee before 1948. In 1966 it attained committee status and existed as of 1971-72.

Scope and Contents From the Series: Membership lists are placed at the beginning of the series along with rosters of members of the committee and blank application forms. A committee procedure manual c. 1957-61 is placed near the begining of the series. Institutional Memberships for the period from 1956-circa 1963 have information on the size of the library, staffing, and history. After 1963 a new form dropped this information and required instead a list of current subscription journals. These have been discarded. Rejected...
